jjpm74 (2878), Connecticut, USA Jul 30, 2008 Pours yellow and hazy with a thin white head. Smells of sweet wheat and some tangy citrus. Tastes spicy with some lemony tartness. Decent. sir_Pino (511), Zawiercie / Żywiec, Poland Mar 21, 2008 Rated 29.01.2007
Bottle green 500ml
Head is abundant and firm, long lasting, off-white, body is cloudy hazy, of nice pale orange hefewiezen colour, lively carbonation. Aroma of weak yeast and nice wheat, fresh aroma of country fields (fields of wheat of course), Flavour; balanced wheat, tost bread, medium-to-full-bodied, can’t feel alcohol, not heavy, soft, easy going with very pronounced grainy taste of barley and wheat and natural spring water plus interesting banana-carrot aromatic nose creates a very nice and rounded taste. Palate; very nice soft and nice weizen nose, the whole beer is not well-balanced but it is a good brew. hotstuff (3038), Indiana, USA Mar 4, 2008 Bottle. Small white head that mostly diminished, spotty amount of lacing, hazy, no carbonation noted, and a straw hue. Nose was sweet, banana, spicy and clove. Ditto for the flavor with a dry finish. Smooth, dry mouthfeel and medium in body. Did not taste as refreshing as most have of this style that I have rated in the past. This is one of my favorite beer styles and it ended up being a disappointment. Not one that I’ll seek out again. evilempire (112), sheffield, South Yorkshire, England Mar 4, 2008 bottle in Cernovci, Ukraine. darkish gold, hazy, full wheat flavour, with definite citrus and banana flavours, and a hint of bubble gum. long lasting head, slightly too gassy thedm (3405), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Feb 1, 2008 This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a large sized head of foamy finely sized bubbles that were mostly diminishing and left behind a hazy dark orange brown colored body and a good lacing. The aroma was musty and funky. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of malt hops and dough. An OK brew just nothing special.
