Pours deep black with red edges. Fine creamy beige-white head. Aroma is lightly roasted, some crystal maltiness and brewing cereal. Low carbonation, still a bit thin. Flavour starts off quite unimpressive and thin with a bit of lightly roasted maltiness and sweetness. The aftertaste is very nice though, and saves this beer some of the way. Wonderful dry chocolate in this finish. Theis (1922), Frederiksberg, Denmark Apr 25, 2008 Draught at Svea in Malmø & DTE, KBH. Almost black - offwhite head. Burned, berries, red berries, licorice, ryebread, nutty, freshness. Very nice - classic schwarzbier.
