Draught at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Pours out in an opaque black colour with a low creamy pale brown head. Rich rounded aroma of coffee beans, roasted malts, chocolate sauce and burnt sugar. Medium-bodied with rounded notes of roasted coffee, dark chocolate and prunes. Long silky smooth finish of roasted coffee, chocolate sauce, salt and almonds. Tasty porter, really drinkable stuff.

On-tap. The Rover. Gothenburg. Almost black colour with a brown head. Roasted aroma, coffee, dark berries. Taste of roasted malt, coffee, dark berries, dark chocolate, a bit of bitterness. Not very sweet. Light to medium bodied. Not very complex, but a very nice easy drinking porter. Re-rated 091028.

Black color, brown head. Hoppy, burnt, roasted, dry, mineral taste. Long roasted dry aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel, medium bitterness. Smooth roasted scent, though a bit tame. Balanced, nice, easy to drink and feels like a session beer. I’ll buy it again for sure.
