Mar 2, 2008 (Cask at Bishops Arms, Avenyn, Göteborg) Amber color, small head. Diacetyl aroma, butter, vanilla and some fruits. Malty, fruity flavor, hoppy, grassy and a bit dry. Nice hoppy finish.

Feb 26, 2008 Cask @ Bishops Arms, Malmö. Pours a dark amber color with a small off-white head. Fruity and slightly spicy malty aroma with some hints of chocolate. Sweet malty spicy flavor with hints of chocolate and licorice. Has a sweetish malty spicy finish with some bitterness in the aftertaste.

Jan 24, 2008 Updated: Feb 14, 2008Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm as Ocean Strong Ale. Dark reddish brown appearance with a low beige foam. Big and rather dry aroma of grass, nuts, chocolate cream and spicy hops. Full flavour of walnut, crackers, toasted bread, chocolate sauce and nuts. Bitter finish of earth and nuts with touches of oranges and grass.

Draught at MacKinley’s Inn, Stockholm. Pours out in a clear reddish brown colour topped with a big rocky beige foam. Dense but still balanced and complex aroma of nuts, fudge, dried oranges, chocolate-sauce, red berries, yeast and earth. Full, sweet flavour of milky chocolate, almonds, vanilla and figs with dense notes of earthy hops. Medium to full bodied with a soft carbonation. Fudge, nuts and dripping chocolate in the finish with subtle hoppy notes of grass and currant. A very well made winter warmer on the complex malty shore. I need more of this!

Jan 20, 2008 (Draught) Pours beautiful deep dark red. The aroma is of cookie and caramel like malt with a hop blanket of oranges covering everything. Also some notes of sweet liquorice and chocolate. The undertones hold some notes of fruits and flowers. The flavour is clean, full and complex malty with tones of liquorice and caramel. Some notes of oranges as well. The mouthfeel is mild roasted, soft, round, smooth and full. This as good as this type of ale gets. Extremely clean without being lifeless. I like.
