Draft at Pizza Port Carlsbad; Nose of light citrus hops; hazy amber with a small offwhite head; flavor is caramel with some light hop bitterness. Nice looking beer but the nose and flavor are kind of average.

A great crisp and refreshing pale. has just the right amount of hops added to it. It is the ideal beer to drink on a hot day or after a long days work or hell during a hard days work. I will even go as far as to say that the Pale from OAW is the best beer I have ever tasted.

I visited the oceanside ale works for a tasting. It was fun with many people (~20) drinking and talking. Hmmm. Drinkable, but nothing interesting. The smell was good, but the flavor is a little off. Again i prefer stronger beers, so my opinion is biased.

On Tap @ O’briens. Agree with the others, this is good, but it suffers from being a tad sweet and rich. Smells great, looks real nice. It has a nice hoppy, floral beginning, but then becomes a tad bit sweet. Not your typical APA, in that I dont think I could drink more than a couple. Not bad.

At Obriens copper to amber, lacy head lasted a while and then some, very malty and big for a pale, great clean finish for a slightly sweet pale.

Tap, O’Brien’s. Pours a dark amber color. Sweet malty/hoppy aroma. Some dark fruitiness. Roasted malts and fruit make up the flavor. Rich for a pale.
