bottle: Now I know what Russian horse piss tastes like. Who at the LCBO had the great idea of ordering in this stuff? Don’t waste your time, this is unremarkable in every way. The 4.5% makes it taste even more thin. There are actually pale lagers with some flavour, and this isn’t one of them.

Slightly orange pour, lots of bubbly head. Slightly flowery aroma. Sweet taste at first becoming quickly bitter. Definite Euro lager taste. Oily lingering cling. Meh.

Bottled. Golden color without foam. Malty aroma. Metal flavor with some malty and fruity tones. Nothing for interest. Bad lager.

[2592-20091118] 500mL bottle. Corn grain malt aroma. Clear, yellow body with a quick foamy white head. Generic corn malt flavour with mild apple-like fruit. Light-medium body. Not terrible.

Pale pale straw or pale yellow - almost watery clear. Smells lightly of fruit and worty. Tastes like wax from my ear - yes this is oddly bitter, it’s hard to tell what they were going for here, grassy green harsh hops hide any appeal of pale malt. Grains. Not enjoyable.

Pale golden, thin white head, light lacing. Aroma of skunk, pale malts, grains, cereal, bread with just the slightest hint of grassy hops. Flavour of pale malts and grains, some metal, skunk hops, light bitterness. Lightly bitter mouthfeel, light body, moderate carbonation. Finishes quick, watery, thin.

Offensive is being kind. Skunk, stale and chemical.

500ml bottle purchased at the LCBO in Peterborough, Ontario.
Opened on March 5, 2009.
Bottled November 28, 2008.

500 ml bottle. Pours super pale in colour. Lots of corn in the nose and mouth. Not worth trying.

It’s golden with a white, creamy head. The aroma has notes of light cabbage/DMS and malt. The flavor is quite sweet with notes of malt, apple and light citrus, the overall impression is a bit watery.

Another pale thin bland extract brewed commie welfare lager that the government liquor monopoly seems enamoured with for the profitmargin it brings when sold at export prices. Leave it on the shelf, there’s so much better beer.
