| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 6, 2007 Pours a pretty, clear, reddish orange with a three-finger, frothy, beige head that leaves nice patchy lacing. The nose is more like a hoppy amber than a Scottish ale: toasted, bready malts with an earthy hop backing. Fairly light bodied and somewhat slick with no appreciable carbonation on the tongue, the mouthfeel concludes with a clean yet lightly dry finish. The flavor follows suit with the nose: toasted, bready and mildly sweet malt with a slightly peaty and dry finish (with herbal undertones). I’m not sure this is really a Scottish ale, but it’s a pretty decent brew whatever you call it. rlgk (3377), Vårgårda, Sweden

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 11, 2007 From bottle. Medium brown w/ hints of ruby. Has a small head which diminishes quickly, but decent lacing. Nose is mildly inviting toasted yeastiness. Hits the tongue as slightly sourish bread with hints of citrus and caramel then a little spritz of hoppiness on the back end. Decent. RblWthACoz (963), Brooklyn, New York, USA

Pours amber red with some head, but not a huge amount. On the taste it has a sweeter edge. It’s full bodied and has a nice froth on the mouth. It might be a bit heavy for some people for a session beer, but for people who enjoy quality, it’s a good brew. keith0718 (159), Olathe, Kansas, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 6, 2007 Decent ale. Nothing spectacular, but nothing to stick your nose up at. I would drink it again. Sweetness came out more as I got further into the beer. Nice aftertaste.
