Hardly any aroma, malt, some faint hops, peppery. Flavor is bland as well, caramel, malt, some hops. Palate is thin and watery, mildly carbonated, semi-malty finish. Boo. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 11, 2007 One of the plantiest brews I’ve ever tasted: Aromas of grasses and some minute malts are complemented by bark, seaweed, and...more grass. Definitely different but not entirely too bizarre. shrubber85 (2997), Wallhalben, Germany

Very different aroma - lemon, green pepper or light jalapeno and leather. Hazy dark amber color with moderate head. Lightly sweet fruity flavor initial followed by a moderate malty flavor and ending with a hops and ash flavor. Different and really hard to compare to anything else I’ve drunk. iskirwan1 (66), monument, Colorado, USA

The beer poured a amber/copper color with a one finger tan head. A smell of hops and a citrus. The taste is mild bitterness with lemon . A crisp clean mouth feel and good carbonation. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 2, 2007 Grain stored in a barn aroma, with touches of sweet carmelly malt,a bigger but still lightcarmel toffee malt taste,a little hop bitterness at the beginning ,but no real hop taste, somewhat standard for a Scottish Ale. Very tastey, yet light enough to enjoy several. Thanks Kingpin MrBendo (1044), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 29, 2006 Bottle. Hazy orange/copper, medium head, light-medium lace. Aroma is earthy hops and sweet malts. Taste was much more hop forward with earth, floral, citrus with an evenly balanced sweet caramel malt and candy. Very good, smooth and well balanced. Medium-light bady. Medium bitter finish.
