| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 12/20 | Oct 16, 2008 12 oz. bottle. Pours a thick head, good retention, nice lacing over a clear light brown body...nose of roasted malts, with some coffee aromas, caramel....tastes initially of sweet roasted malts, then hops begin to dominate....mouth feel is creamy because of the lovely carbonation. The whole presentation was light for a Scottish Ale, but I think brewers hit what they were aiming for in a "medium bodied amber ale".
