When I was first getting into the craft beer scene, I used to absolutely love this beer. This is crisp and light with some citrus and fruity esters mixed with the malts. Slight hops. I’ll miss you... | 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Dec 14, 2006 bottle -from somewhere in Omaha - small head, light yeast and malt flavor, a little watery, I hate to say but the flavor became worse as I drank it as it left a horrible favor in my mouth - I think it was some poor yeast- for that I can’t rate it higher plus the bottle is old

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 20, 2004 Straw-colored with a thin, large-bubbled, white head. Aroma is sweet and grainy. Sweet, grainy malt flavor (hints of corn as well) with some spicy, floral hops. This is good but sweeter than most I have tried in the style. Crosling (1854), Loveland, Colorado, USA

A light golden color with a wispy white head. Lacing was magnificent with this ale.
Aromas of light malts, fruits, wheat and pears.
Pretty tasty for the style. Pears, Peaches and yeast dominate the mouth. Nice dry finish with this beer as well but no mid-palate. Very drinkable but a poor mouthfeel.
Overall, good for the style but not my cup of tea. Braudog (3758), Dayton, Ohio, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Aug 14, 2004 Golden yellow and reflectively opaque and shiny with a sudsy white head. This smells like Corn Chex, but the flavor is creamy and tangy with a sweet essence as it slides down the gullet. It’s a bit thicker and creamier than a true Koelsch, but it’s still pretty good.
