| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jun 10, 2002 Head is initially small, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is clear light yellow. Aroma is lightly hoppy (flowers, perfume), lightly malty (grain, light bread), lightly yeasty (cheese), with a light note of lemon. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. It’s ok, but the yeast character is somewhat unpleasant in both aroma and flavor. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Aug 14, 2004 Golden yellow and reflectively opaque and shiny with a sudsy white head. This smells like Corn Chex, but the flavor is creamy and tangy with a sweet essence as it slides down the gullet. It’s a bit thicker and creamier than a true Koelsch, but it’s still pretty good. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 24, 2003 Acquired via trade. Pours a not-very-pretty yellow color with a thin white head. Light effervescence and lacing. Flavor is light and yeasty with a mild hops presence. Finish is dry and lightly sweet. This style is not among my favorites, and I don't think this one is as good as Flying Dog's or Blimp City's versions. Still, it was not bad. Aubrey (2781), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 23, 2002 Fruity-yeasty nose with hints of apple. Crisply carbonated with an underlying malt smoothness. Some aromatic hop flavors in the finish. Only a slight bitterness, but it does intensify with every sip. Malts may be a little too sweet and cloying... only real complaint. Drew (2410), Kent, Ohio, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 15, 2004 Pale yellow body. Aroma is fruity - some green apple. This is crisp and light with some citrus and fruit in with the malt; very little hop. whaleman (2171), North Wales, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 12, 2004 Lemon color body with swirling particulates of variable size, medium carbonation and sudsy white head. Interesting and unusual aroma of pineapple, lime, apples, butterscotch, and Trix cereal. Flavor is less sour than anticipated but a lemony quality does come through. Prominent honey component but not overly sweet. Hint of pine nuts. Subdued malt and hops. Mild bitterness. Not a bad beer. I could enjoy this on a hot summer day. Kevin (1920), Colorado, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 3, 2004 First let me say that Bobby is much better on-tap than in the bottle. Sampled at the brewery.
A light golden color with a wispy white head. Lacing was magnificent with this ale.
Aromas of light malts, fruits, wheat and pears.
Pretty tasty for the style. Pears, Peaches and yeast dominate the mouth. Nice dry finish with this beer as well but no mid-palate. Very drinkable but a poor mouthfeel.
Overall, good for the style but not my cup of tea.
