O’Dells brought this out for their Small Batch Fest in 2008. A very nice lager, golden color, with balanced flavors.

Had this beer on 8/2/2000. Aroma is a slightly smoky malt scent. Color is a brownish gold with good carbonation and head. Taste lightly roasted and slightly bitter. Starting with a medium body it goes down with a slightly smooth roasted taste. Finish is a mild roasted malt flavor backed by a light bitterness.

This beer was just not impressive in the least. Pale and fizzy with a very fastly fading soda head. Not much taste, bitter at first and slightly sweet in the finish. Just really unbalanced.

I love Colorado and the beers they make here, but they can’t make a lager to save their lives. This lager tastes more like an ale, although the label does say that it is brewed at ale temperatures, and calls it copper colored. It is ’barely’ a lager, but what can I expect in a cold weather climate like this. Not a bad beer, a bit sweet, more like a sweet, malty pilsener than a lager. Reminds me somewhat of Hofmark Pilsener.

Clear and copper in hue. Rich and relatively flavorful. Sharp hop flavor balances the sweet malt rather well. A little ’hard-edged’ for your typical light lager, but still not too bad. I like the 90 Schilling much better.
