Pleasant hop aroma, with a floral, and somewhat citric note, with some balancing caramel. Malt balanced the hops in the flavor, along with a butterscotch note. Decent, if not particularly English in feel. thegreenrooster (1848), St.louis, Missouri, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 4, 2005 Pour is a cloudy orange with a white head. Aroma is of floral hops. Flavor is kind of weak. You get your hops and malts but nothing really outstanding. Very easy to drink but not even close to SNPA. 11026 (1772), Alabama, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Feb 6, 2005 Bottle from TannerTavernboys. Hazy darkish amber color. Nice white head fades to a film and leaves good lacing. Aroma is floral and caramely. Flavors run the same direction. Sweet caramel with pleasant hop balance. Hops slowly take over the overall taste in the finish and linger. A pleasant Pale ale, just lacking in body. jigglyjock (159), Seattle, Washington, USA

Aroma of a wheat and citrus. Flavor of malt, citrus, and a hops aftertaste. Nicely lasts on the palate. Just enough carbonatoin. One of the best pale ales I’ve enjoyed. heemer77 (4312), Savannah, Missouri, USA

Aroma is oranges and bread crust. Also a hint of flowers. The taste is a full malty bread. A hint of rotten oranges and some pepper spice. Also some dirt. Fairly light bodied. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 20, 2004 Appearance: dark, ripe reddish hue, with a fine, creamy tan head.
Aroma: warm and lively, fresh and fruity, peach, apricot, citrus, orange, zesty and uplifting!
Mellow on the tongue and palate, but packed with flavor. This was a delicous surprise, and reminded me very well of Sierra Nevada, with the continual fruit character all through the flavor. Very tasty, every time it came back up to my lips, again and again, tasty, tasty, tasty!!!
Hops are somewhat mild, malt is good, balance=perfect!
All in all, a solid, enjoyable ale. I could happily enjoy them, one after another! Terminus (1955), Las Cruces, New Mexico, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 12, 2004 bottle-this brew poured a decent orange hue with some good carbonation and head. sweet citric aroma with a slight bite to it. flavors are citric, watery and some decent malts present/ kinda like an english and american pale mixed together. not malty/buttery enough to be a true english pale ale. not to bad, but not great either.
