Slight hoppy bitterness is complimented by a great roasted malt flavor. Pours almost black with a big brown head. Pailhead (2597), Allen Park, Michigan, USA

Aroma is a little light with roasted grain the most prominent with some light coffee and hints of chocolate. Pours a dark orangish-brown with some transparency and a large tan head with fair retention. Leaves small rings of lacing. Lots of roasted malt up front with some faint chocolate in the middle. Light roasted coffee and lightly bitter finish. Rather creamy and soft mouthfeel for a porter. barleyPops (1081), Quad-Cities, Illinois, USA

Pours black with thin tan head. Flavor is mainly dark chocolate followed by coffee, really just a great tasting porter, kinda on the thin side but that makes it very drinkable, damn good beer. Aromas of light roast, and coffee with a touch of molasses. Flavor is coffee, roasted malts, a touch of chocolate, and a little smoke with a good amount of lactose astringency on the back of each sip. Medium bodied. All in all a pretty nice porter.. Nose of tobacco and roast, light astringency, a bit of molasses. The flavor is stouty, strong bitterness and astringency. Stout! Stout! Like the boy who called wolf, I can now start enjoying this one now that that’s out of the way. Creamy blend of ash and char with sweet chocolate and mocha. ukoolaid (572), Amherst, Massachusetts, USA

This is a solid porter with serious character. Gorgeous color. Great coffee and chocolate notes. Smooth and crisp with just enough bite and a pretty clean finish. By far one of my favorite American micro porters. Enjoy this one.
