Malty, rich, and very smooth. Has a lot of nutty flavors with a bit of a toffee/coffee in it as well. Did I mention smooth?

Pour is a nice black with a small tan head. Aroma is a nice mix of chocolate and coffee. Flavor is a deep roast of chocolates and malts. A nice texture to this brew. Very smooth and silky.

[Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival 2005] A dark brown beer with a thin light brown head. The aroma is sweet and very roasted combined with notes of chocolate. The flavor is very sweet and very roasted with notes of coffee, chocolate, and wood. A super beer - I’m impressed that a 4.5% ABV beer can taste of this much.

(Stockholm Beer Festival 2005) Black with a brown head. Licorice and coffee aroma, bitter and slaty, dry and with smoky notes. Flavor brings licorice and chocolate. A bit thin.

Bottled. Near black. Rich aroma of licorice and aniseed. Earthy and dryish, wonderfully concentrated flavours of coffee, juice and dark chocolate. The soft mouthfeel makes all the flavours melt on the tongue. All this is accomplished despite the low gravity, making it a very drinkable beer. Possibly my favourite on Stockholm Beer Festival 2005!
