Wood and roasty notes on the nose with a touch of tangy malt. Soft carbonation in the mouth, roasty but not harsh, a little coffee dregs sit under the tongue there is some sweetness and touch of caramel with a bit of dark fruit a bit of light smokiness, very nice stuff. BOTTLE: very dark brown pour, minor head & lacing. Rich roasty nose, roasted coffee taste, semi-creamy yet a little thin, with some bitterness. Very good beer.

12oz bottle andon tap (nitro). Pours a deep caramel brown with a lasting one finger head. Heavy roasted malt aroma with coffee, chocolate, and light smokiness. Like the arome the taste is big on roasted malt and the slight coffee and chocolate come through in the finish. Very smooth with a light creaminess.

Dark black with brown edges and a smell like coffee, very nice. The head was a like a creamy blanket lying on top of the beer. I was told that along with Easy Street Wheat, this is Odell’s only unfiltered beer. The taste was roasty and also a little smoky like grilled meat. Mouthfeel was very creamy due to the nitro and it was appreciated but I wonder what the beer was like naturally and why the need for nitro? I liked this beer mostly except for the smokiness. I am also not sure if I like “nitro”, what is the point, can’t they just cask it? The cask IPA I had at Odell’s was so creamy I can’t imagine a better mouthfeel. Bottle. Blackish beer with a light’ish head. The aroma is mildly roasted, and the flavour is relatively roasted with a bitter and malty finish. Overall a reasonable porter.
