The aroma is mildly roasted, and the flavour is relatively roasted with a bitter and malty finish. Overall a reasonable porter. cgarvieuk (4225), Edinburgh, Scotland

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 14, 2009 Bottle. Nearly black with a thin, almost white head. The aroma tips off the biggest flavor component: roasty malt tasting very much of chocolate. Not as much hoppiness as advertised -- it stuck in the background for me. In fact, I mostly just get the roastiness and chocolate. Also some fruitiness and coffee. All in all, a pretty mild, easy drinking porter. thebeertourist (2822), Oslo, Norway
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Aug 8, 2009 Bottle from Utobeer. Almost black with a creamy capuccino head. Roasted coffee aroma, notes of sharp fruit. Roasted coffee flavours that are quite mild. Hoppiness shines through. Nice, but not outstanding. ChristianScheffel (4689), Odense, Denmark

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 20, 2009 Bottle; pours a black color with a small to medium, but long lasting, light brown head. Aroma was very traditional for a porter, but quite nice; roasted malt, cocoa, caramel and coffee. Flavor was good, but nothing exceptional for the style. Roasted malt, coffee, oats, and earth. Not much caramel, bitterness or sweetness. Pawola22 (794), Kansas City, Missouri, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 27, 2009 12oz bottle. Pours a black body with an inch thick, dense, tan head that dissipates slowly and leaves lots of creamy lacing. Aroma is an even mix of sweet and roasty malts. Some chocolate and a light earthy coffee. Flavor has some mild burnt bitterness, sweet caramels, earth and wood, some light acidic coffee, and a bit of citrus. Has an almost spicy pepper finish without the heat and fairly hoppy for a porter. Finishes very dry with a heavily roasted aftertaste and some earth. Light to medium bodied and easy drinking. Overall, not a bad porter for only a 4.5% ABV. Lots of roast and pretty hoppy. Balanced and satisfying.
