arrogantb (694), Denver, Colorado, USA Sep 8, 2009 I had this on tap at the Falling Rock last Friday as part of their 10th anniversary celebration. The beer was straw-yellow with a white head and looked identical to the Odell IPA (i drink it a lot). The smell was skunky (not like a skunked beer) hops. The taste was very, very bitter and not good at all to me. Too oily, bitter, and ashy. My reaction was "they had it right the first time".

Aroma is quite strong with hops (as you’d expect) while still providing a nice flavor of pine and citrus. BlackForestCO (819), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA May 3, 2008 Updated: Mar 3, 2009On tap at the brewery. Poured a clear golden-copper color with a moderate white head that left good lacing. Aroma of fresh, leafy, piny hops with some citrus undertones. Flavor begins with some light sweet malts but quickly moves into a hoppy, resiny pine hit with sweet undertones of grapefruit and citrus, with a moderately bitter finish. Pretty nice beer, the only thing that was a bummer is the low carbonation, it almost seemed like it was on Nitro. Some carbonation to add bite would make it a much more pleasurable experience. FlagstoneHill (211), Erie, Colorado, USA Jul 9, 2007 Bottle. .. Classic Noble hop aroma, hints of malt. Smells like a pilsner should, maybe turned up a notch? . .. Crystal clear, pale gold, light white head. .. Sweet start with a hoppy bitterness to finish. Sweet in the finish too. .. Med body with a sticky aftertaste. .. Very tasty Pilsner. Hard to imagine it’s a "double".. .
