Commercial Description:
Double Pilsner is our tribute to the pilsner style, heavily hopped but balanced with malt and refined on our 5-barrel system. Originally brewed in Bohemia, pilsners were the world's first clear golden lagers and the start of a dramatic revolution in brewing. Today, pilsners are still a revered part of Czech and German life and an inspiration to our brewers.

Pours almost fluorescent yellow with a fleeting white head. Aroma and flavor of grain with a nutty accent and a touch of piney hops. It does coat the mouth in an odd way.

i picked up a 6er the other day. this pours a dark yellow with a lasting lightly lacing head. the aroma is like a fresh cut pvc pipe, booze, and straw with enough wet cut grass to make me take notice. the malts come out tasting burnt, the hops are pleasant in the background, the alcohol is unpleasant and dominant. tastes a lot like model glue smells. this is going to be hard to drink all six. looks like i am saving one for lumpy. didn’t get it to lumpy so i am drinking my last one, this is a malt liquor. and not a very good one.

Bottle Pours a crystal clear very light yellow with a short lived foamy white head and coarse lacing. Lots of actractive effervessence as well Aroma is that sweet very light grain, ceral and coarn typical with the BMCs of the world, but there is a hint at some flavor that beckons. Flavor is sweet, light vegatative, and a wierd sugary, papery alcohol slant. I wouldn’t have guessed over %8 but it is there. Very thin feel and surprisingly light on the fix. More here would have helped I think. Late slightly metalic trailer. I’ve only had a few of this style, and I don’t think I will ever see one like the Morimoto again. Thanks to Kenb for the trade.

Remember that old Bugs Bunny cartoon where he’s pitching against the Mudville Nine and he’s whiffing them left and right? Strike one, two thre yer out! Strike one, two, three yer out!? Well this one strikes out big time. I was all geeked up for a double pils and got left wondering..wha happened? Aroma was just plain corn and nothing else. No hops, no nothing but corn. Appearance was yellow in color, nothing remarkable. Mouthfeel was very light in body, yet coating with a bad taste in the mouth. Flavors were just a blech combo of malts and hops like something had gone wrong in the making of this beer. Nothing good at all about this.

12 oz bottle from beastiefan2k, Grainy malt lager aroma; gold with a small white head; spicy malt flavor, a little caramel, and a little hops and alcohol in the finish. One of the best lagers I’ve had!
