Grainy aroma with hints of citrus. Quite bready, citric flavours provide a reminder that it may be a wheat beer. Well-carbonated, but I am not thrilled. ROGUE (676), Newark, Delaware, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 11, 2009 On tap (brewery tap house). Pours up a hazy yellow with a thin white head that dissipates quickly. A simple wheaty bready aroma. The taste is of wheat, light bread, and a light flavor of lemon near finish. Alight bodied easy drinking wheat.

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Aug 8, 2009 A vigorous pour into my 25cl tulip glass produces a four finger thick, pale tan colored head. The beer is an amber color that shows a mostly clear, copper-gold color when held up to the light. The aroma is a mix of grassy wheat, pale crackers, fresh thrushed hay and a touch of herbal hop notes. The nose is quite clean of any fermentation character, though it maybe has a hint of green apple if you really dig for it. Not a bad nose, but fairly un-inspired.
There is a nice grassy grain character to this up front, as it moves across the tongue it picks up some toasty, biscuit like malt flavor, fresh crushed wheat character and a soft bread-like note. The finish has a touch of something that seems a bit metallic, perhaps tinny, and it also finishes a bit flat. A herbal hop note lingers in the finish, but strangely isn’t all that appealing. There is also a touch of bitterness that seems to come more to the fore the longer into the finish I get; it remains a light note though and perhaps even has a peppery edge to it.
There is not a whole lot going on here; this is a straight forward example of an American Wheat beer. Even when judged against the style though, it doesn’t seem to achieve quite the rusticity that something like Widmer manages to even achieve. This seems a bit too clean, even for an American Wheat. Not bad though, and certainly far from objectionable. bblack99 (212), Kansas City, Missouri, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 3, 2009 Hazy golden pour with a thin white head. Simple beer, smells of fresh-baked bread, tastes of green wheat and yeast. Easy to drink, good for summer, but nothing spectacular. Crafty07 (393), Florence, Kentucky, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 13, 2009 Hazy pour from the 12 oz bottle. This is not a ’Wheat Ale’..it’s an American Wheat...which out to mean ’bland, less sweet, wheat’.
It delivers what you’d expect. A well made but uninteresting beer. CoreyDW (18), Arizona, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Jul 1, 2009 Nothing offensive or spectacular. Bottle pours a hazy golden color with an insignificant white head. The aroma smells of wheat bread and slight lemon peel. The overall body is light and crisp. The taste is primarily wheat which overshadows any diplay of citrus and is followed up by a light caramel character. msante79 (841), Orland Hills, Illinois, USA
