restless7 (102), Lenexa, Kansas, USA Apr 14, 2008 TAP: @Barley’s. Looks like a wheat with cloudy golden color, whitish head. Amora is weak, somewhat non-existant. Flavor is spicy slight citrus, but weak. Palate is lively but very short finish. Bleh.
theisti (1014), Leawood, Kansas, USA Aug 12, 2008 12 oz bottle purchased as a single at Happy Hour in Independence, Missouri. 102908 stamped on bottle. Pour is hazed golden with a one inch white head. Heads falls quick leaving behind decent lacing. Aroma is sweet perfumes, wildflowers and wheat. Taste is wheat with some sweet and slightly spicy candy sugar yeastiness. The floral perfume is also present in the taste. Aftertaste has some mineral to it. Palate is medium to thin, drinkable. dkachur (723), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA Aug 10, 2008 12 oz. bottle from a friend. Best by date is mostly illegible but ends in 09, so that seems like a good sign. Hazy orange pour with a medium white head that quickly disappears. Aroma of citrus, yeast, grass and rubber. Yeast is strong with heavy grassy and earthy notes, along with some citrus. Biscuity, metallic, and what’s that? Peanut butter?. Not unpleasant, but definitely an odd beast. stchloe (96), Portland, Oregon, USA Aug 1, 2008 Finally a wheat beer that has no pretensions about having or needing an orange or lemon slice to make it drinkable. jake65 (1216), Meridian, Idaho, USA Aug 1, 2008 Tap @ La Comida in Cody, WY. Pours a golden blonde with a small amount of haze. Mostly grassey and wheaty notes with a light maltiness. Flavor is the same. Rather boring, but unobtrusive. lb4lb (1340), Austin, Texas, USA Jul 26, 2008 In trade as an extra from oxymoron. Thanks man!
Pours a gorgeous glowing, cloudy, thick bright orange color with a smallish white head and light lacing. Smell is very wheaty, slightly fruity and appealing. Taste is refreshing and very wheaty with a strong lingering wheat finish. Lightly tart in the middle with a hint of lemony brightness and a touch of yeastiness without much in the way of clove or spicing, which I really liked about it. Mouthfeel is fairly light, but suitable for the style and keeps it refreshing without being too thin. Drinkability is very good, and this is a very nice thirst quenching summer beer. I enjoyed it.
