Aroma of roast malt, chocoff, molasses, slight brown sugar. Tastes roasty malty, with a lot of dark chocolate flavor, plus plum, some lactic cherry notes, and some hop notes. Not as strong or hoppy as the imperial stouts I’m used to, but it has it’s own subtle presence that can be perfect for a nice laid back evening. chadzter (94), huntsville, Alabama, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Mar 11, 2007 Bottle. Aroma is chocolate milk and light roast malt. Color is a deep black color and a nice full creamy light brown head and slight lacing. Just a light hop touch that makes for full balance taste with a good chocolate, coffee and roast beginning. Good beer, nice taste, but the best. keith0718 (165), Olathe, Kansas, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 11, 2007 Tastes kinda wimpy for an Imperial stout, but a good stout nonetheless. I guess it’s good when you can’t tell that there’s over 7% alcohol. Sweet and flavorful. Will try again. ford9719 (369), Vilseck, Germany

Dark and creamy woth a whole lot of kick! Difficult to drink two of these guys at one time!. elpresidente19 (5), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA does not count | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 22, 2007 I liked this one better a year ago (2006), but it was still well done. Pours black with a thin brown head. Very earthy, chocolate, a little woodiness. Not as big as i expected, but nevertheless quite tasty. So far, I have enjoyed all of their ’single batch series’. goldtwins (4086), Nesconset, New York, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 15, 2007 I love the label. Poured a clear dark ruby-brown color with no head. The aroma was roasty with notes of coffee and having a mild sweetness. Some notes of bitter sweet chocolate as well. The flavor was chocolatey and smokey. Medium bodied. The taste is pretty decent but kind of small in all aspects for an imperial stout.
