Bottle 75cl. @ post Borefts BF 09 hotel tasting
Unclear with many body particles (even hop peaces) medium orange color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, sweet malt, heavy hoppy, flowers, perfume, grapefruit. Flavor is heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20091031]

Bottle at post Borefts BF 09 tasting. Sweet oranges and big dry hopped hop on aroma. Huge resiny piney hop aroma. Body is ok, but kinda needs a bit more malt. Big acidic hop on end. Not particularly well balanced. Quite hot on finish.

A Mes rate. Bottle at Borefts 10am day after hotel tasting.
Amber / orange colour with a thin off white head. Awesome hops in the aroma but some awful wet dog notes in the background hold it back. Thankfully the wet dog does not appear in the flavour. Sadly the canine is replaced by some very astringent medicinal notes. The hop flavours are still excellent, it’s just too harsh for me to really enjoy it. Worth a drink though.

(Draught) Pours a clear golden body with a medium cream head. Aroma of grass, caramel, orange, apricot, and pine. Flavor of hops (juicy citrus, pine, grass), caramel malt, and earth with a dry, bitter finish.

Draft @ Odell, crushed with TARBra and KevinBra. Intense nose of striking fruit cocktail hops (maraschino cherries and sweet pear) with a medium to heavy dose of sweet caramel malt and candied/crystalline/sugared tea leaves. Frothy full and oily/filmy body, appropriately rich and chewy, but overly sweet (doesn’t ruin the beer, don’t get me wrong). Intensely bitter to the point of mimicking acidity. Resinous and chewy finish. Enjoyable but slightly too sweet and with too much crystal malt.

Bottle. Head is initially large, frothy/rocky, off-white, mostly lasting. Body is light amber. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (caramel, toasted grain), heavily hoppy (resin, apricot), with a note of alcohol. Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately to heavily bitter. Medium to full body, velvety/watery texture, lively carbonation, moderately to heavily alcoholic, lightly to moderately astringent. Woof, talk about a raw hop bomb. Resin, resin, resin. I couldn’t find much else underneath it, so be prepared for one dimension. As abrasive a mouth experience as you might guess from the nose, but a lot of folks like this sorta thing. Undrinkable for me, but it does look great, no doubt...giant, fluffy, lasting head.

On tap at Odells Tasting Room (drank not crushed) poured a clear amber with a lasting amber head. Aromas of pine, tangerine, pink grapefruit and light carmel. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of tangerine, orange, pink grapefruit, light pine and light carmel with a smooth dry lightly bitter lingering fruity finish.

Bottle. Pours hazy copper with a large, frothy off-white head, lasting with good lacing. Aroma is sweet candied hops that give way to caramel malt, perfume hops, and an alcohol nose. Fig, plum, peach, and date notes. Lightly sweaty hops and yeast at the end. Green, spicy hop flavor with an alcohol warmness, malty, chewy hops with a fruit character. Full bodied, dry finish, sweet, acidic, and spicy.
