| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Dec 5, 2009 This is a good beer but WTF man. I needed a pair of vice grips and a wine rabit to get the fxn cork out. Not to mention only after I realined my teeth, on both sides. This is a double IPA with no sign of BW in sight. Good strength of flavor, hop, malt, aroma but very IPA. I don’t believe in naming your beer "whatever". Your beer is a style not a marketing ploy. This is a damn good DIPA though. Big effers, big hop component, balanced. Seriously, I laughed my ass off at how much effort I used to get this freakin cork out. The cork is in three pieces. Definitely a unique experience. bu11zeye (5475), Frisco, Texas, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 1, 2009 750 ml bottle. Pours a clear copper with a large beige head that lasts till the beer is gone. Towards the bottom it is a murky brown with a thin head that lasts. Taste is of pine, hops, citrus, resin, malt and some caramel. Similar aroma. The body is a little thin and oily. The alcohol is hidden well. Easy to drink and pretty enjoyable. Worth getting again. BeerandBlues2 (3216), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 23, 2009 Sedona river water in color...muddy burnt orange with a eggshell head that left web-like remnants on the inside of the glass. Aroma has bright grapefruit, Ponderosa pine, and floral qualities but shows a bit of honey late. Similarly, the flavor is more IIPA than barley wine and is quite hop-forward. There is just enough caramel malt to consider it for the category. Thick but not syrupy, this one might sneak up on you. A really tasty beer. Well done. rudolf (1774), Buffalo, New York, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 23, 2009 Bottle, thanks Peter. Murky tan, white head. Nose is nice citrus & pine hop character, caramely malt, green grapes. Flavor is great bitter pine, a little soap, caramel, honey, alcohol. Big but not over the top huge. Fruity pithy bitter finish. frylock (1024), Buffalo, New York, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 22, 2009 750ml Bottle that was a bit of a gusher. Muddy light amber color, topped by a dense off-white head. Amazing hop aroma full of citrus fruit and pine. Juicy grapefruit-like hop flavor, accompanied by floral and fruity malt notes. The hops make this seem more like a IIPA, but there is a light malt backbone that is reminiscent of an English barley wine. Nice stuff.
