Aroma of hops, malt, citrus. Flavor is hoppy, malty, citrusy, grassy. Nice bitter hop finish is balanced out with just enough malt. Good IPA. BetterRedFred (62), Los Alamos, New Mexico, USA

I’m taking my Stone rating down a feww notches as well. This stuff is excellent! GreatLibations (1454), Last Supper, Arizona, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jan 18, 2009 This beer is a classic in all the word. Pours with a rich golden color and a dense lasting head. It just sits there like a dead muledeer. Aromas of citrus rind and a charred hop resonance. Medium nectar with superb effer amplification like Eddie Van Halen doing a solo to Unchained. OK, this one makes me 7 abv mark and this is instant happiness for me. But unlike most at this level it isn’t over baring. It’s not a sweet malt bomb. It’s not a switchblade hop killer. It’s refined and unprecedented. A needle in a haystack. This brew has a great disposition that brings a smile to the user. jbye4334 (719), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 15, 2009 Bottle. Pours a clear gold with a huge 3 finger foamy beige head that leaves delicate lacing. The nose is ripe citrus hops and malt. Taste is tangerine, ripe pink grapefruit and light caramel with a tart grapefruit finish. Medium mouth feel. Nice and refreshing IPA. Reminds me a lot of Four Peaks Hop Knot. Strykzone (1497), Wood River, Illinois, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 11, 2009 Pours a nice copper with a big frothy white head. Beautiful lacing. Aroma is full of grapefruit with a good amount of caramel. Grapefruit was not nearly as dominant in the flavor. It offered more caramel, pine, grass, and spice. A very nice IPA. machfive55 (234), Columbia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 7, 2009 Poured a brilliant and clean dark yellow, light amber with little head but the carbonation was good and left lacing. The aroma was strongly grapefruit hops with little malt. There was a strong citrus flavor, particularly grapefruit along with some pine notes at first, the bitterness is right up front and dominant. As the beer warms the bitterness mellows and the beer really mellows out and blends into a nicely balanced drink. Good job.
