Slightly hazy amber color with a good off-white head. Lots of floral/citrus hop aroma over some slightly roasted caramel. Medium body with creamy carbonation. Flavor is quite florally hoppy with touches of pine and citrus - or maybe they are canceling each other - whatever, it’s hoppy. The finish is nicely bitter. It’s a very good drink. Medium balanced flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. This is a good drinkable brew. GAManiac (1167), Atlanta, Georgia, USA

Pours a clearish golden amber with a small bubbly white head that showed good retention and left some sporadic lacing. The aroma is like walking into a pine forest, big on the floral hops, with a little bit of lemony citrus hops on top. The sweet bready malt is present if you look below the hop explosion. Lemons are the first thing I notice in the taste, before the sweet malts make a brief appearance. The hops come back in the finish with a nice pine hop aftertaste. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with a hint of hop stickiness. This is a great IPA and would be a staple for me if it was local. Highly recommended! beerdad (77), Kansas, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 25, 2008 A Mes rate: bottle at GBBF. Bright golden brown coloured with a superb off white head, good lace and in excellent condition. Big grassy aroma with some really good malt, brown sugar and lovely citric character. Well balanced, very American and bloody gorgeous. If all that could follow on into the mouth then this would be absolutely stunning. Sadly it doesn’t. All that there is in the aroma is here but it’s just engulfed by clear notes of fat and oil. It’s such a shame this could be amazing. When all is said and done, I have given this a 3.7 and that certainly denotes a very good beer. Point is it’s almost an incredible one and clearly could be.
