The best part about winter is the seasonal brews!! Pours a deep amber with little to no off white head. Nice spicy, hoppy nose. The flavor was hoppy, spicy, malty wintery goodness. Great brew!!!

12oz bottle. Copper pour, capped with a thin off-white head. Aroma of caramel, toast, nuts, and earthy hops. Flavor is on the sweet side, caramel, toffee, spice, rye and european hops. Easy drinking. Nice winter ale.

Tap at the brewery. Pours a light golden amber with a nice off white head. Aromas of caramel, malt, and a bit of fruitiness. Flavors are sweet malt, fruits, and a decent hop finish. Medium bodied. I used to really like this beer, but either I or the beer have changed.

Tap at the brewery. Poured a deep, clear tan-amber color with a thick beige head that left good lacing. Toasty aroma with hints of toffee, nuts, and an ESB-esque minerally, earthy hoppiness. Smooth, lightly sweet entry with some toasted malts and undertones of soft caramel, toffee, and a light nuttiness that is taken over by a moderately sharp, minerally hops that finish with a light sweetness. Moderate carbonation with a decent hop bite, but still a tad watery. Not a huge fan of the abrasiveness present in both the malts and the sharp hops, but still an alright beer.

Sweet caramel malt and pepper nose. Deep amber color, foamy head. Resin chocolate sweetness, good bitterness. Medium body, medium carbonation, lemon burnt toast finish. Solid beer, reminds me of New Belgium’s 2 below.
