| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 27, 2006 From a distinctive hop embossed Odell 12 oz. bottle, no freshness date I could find. Fall/Winter ’06 seasonal release.
Poured a clear, bright reddish amber with a small foamy head that settled into a thin, bubbly, sudsy lacing.
Aromas of buttery caramel and biscuits, a light toasted grainy and earthy hops.
Moderate carbonation and a malty crisp, creamy smooth medium bodied mouthfeel.
Good malty taste with a nice hoppiness, toasted grains and buttery caramel, earthy, herbal hops, a soft, but lasting bitterness, the alcohol is well masked and provides a little kick at the end, and a dry grainy and herbal finish.
Easy, smooth drinkability, tasty and balanced, one of the better winter warmers I’ve had in awhile.

The aroma was old toffee with some cinnamon and peanuts. The taste was peanuts and caramel. There was also a nice roasted finish to this smooth and very drinkable beer. Another nice one from Odell.
