Commercial Description:
Levity was named by our brewers to reflect the lightness of color in this highly drinkable golden amber ale. Extremely refreshing, this is a mild, crisp, hoppy pleasure to consume.

Bottle: I have no idea how I ended up with one of these in my hand today. Golden/red color with a medium white head. Kind of a skanky aroma that really put me off. Some carmel malt notes, and a mild hop flavor. If you can get past the aroma it’s not terrible. Perhaps there should be a best when congested label.

Funky and acerbic aroma. Tea colored with a big fluffed up white head. Mild hop fore then malt and grains with a hay like finish. Tastes too similar to their 90 shilling for both of them to be to style.

Tap at brewey. Malt, tea, citric juices. Some light spice and soap. Not really a good example of the style, although it does have a few good points.

12 oz bottle. Pours a slightly hazy golden with a smallish white head that retain fairly well and leaves some lacing.

The aroma is sweet honey malt and some DMS.

The flavor is sweet and earthy malts with a touch of citrus. It has a little bit of a bitter crisp finish. The mouthfeel is pretty thin and watery.

Overall, a pretty average beer. Probably a good starter beer.

Draught. Pours orange to copper with a foamy off-white head and creamy lacing. Sour malt (meal) and yeast (sweat) aroma with fruit and citrus hop notes. Sour malt flavor with a bitter hop finish. Light bodied and creamy palate.

Deep orange amber with a dense, white head. Nice, yeasty, ale aroma with a sweet, lightly carmelized, toasty malt aroma. Flavor of warm, toasty malt with just the right amount of residual sweetness from light caramel malts and a good ale yeast fruit. There is also a backbone of milky flavor that I more often see in a dark ale. A great malt accented beer perfect for fall or pizza.

Golden hued with grain and honey aromas. In an effort to be crisp, however, this brew is too simple and out of balance compared to other ambers. Hops dominate, but are brief on the palate. Not much here to take note of. It’s only drinkable in the respect that you would have to throw back a lot of it to get any sense of the beer. Not one of this brewer’s best.
