Commercial Description:
Levity was named by our brewers to reflect the lightness of color in this highly drinkable golden amber ale. Extremely refreshing, this is a mild, crisp, hoppy pleasure to consume.

Pleasing orange color, with a small but creamy foamed head. Typical amber ale aroma: a touch of herbal and grassy hop, maybe a touch of citrus, then some caramelized doughy malts. Flavor starts balanced, with a bready malt and a spicy hop. Finishes empty, with a light hopping but almost feeling watery. Nevertheless there’s a pepper in the aftertaste, and an overall clean drinkability to this that saves it from just another boring amber.

This beer pours a crisp amber/orange color with a light tan creamy head that stuck around a while. I smelled carmel, hops and spices. I tasted carmel, nuts, apple and orange zest. This beer doesn’t blow you away, but it is pretty damn good for an amber ale. The mouthfeel was very sweet even after a few minutes.

12oz bottle. Poured a medium orange color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of toasted malts, a little earthy, citrus and caramel. Tastes of citrus, spicy, and light caramel.

From a distinctive hop embossed Odell 12 oz. bottle, no freshness date, fall/winter ’06 seasonal release. Poured a clear, bright golden amber with a foamy, fluffy white head that settled into a thin, bubbly, sudsy lacing. Aromas of lightly toasted nuts and grains, a honey fruitiness and soft spicy hops. Moderate, even carbonation and a crisp, velvety smooth medium-light bodied mouthfeel. Pleasant tasting, toasted nuts and caramel, the honey covered pears fruitiness, soft earthy, herbal hops that have a lingering bitterness, and a dryish, toasted grainy and herbal finish. Smooth, easy drinkability, very quaffable, a good seasonal release from a quality Colorado brewery.

Pours an orange amber ale with a hoppy nose, and floral undertones. Hops are very much present, with smooth, peppery notes and sweet malts. Slight hoppy bitterness at the finish, well balanced with the fruity notes and hints of toasted caramel.

12oz bottle. Filtered and orange amber. Spotty white head. Bready malts. Citrus and yeasty nose. Medium to light bodied. Nice caramel graham cracker malt flavor with a touch of orange zest. Easy drinking with a sweet caramel lingering finish. Right before the finish, that citrus zest pops up. Not the heaviest, fullest, or most intense, but tasty and smooth.

Easy drinking amber ale, and such a cool bottle....I’m going to have to put it into the higher middle end of amber ales. This amber falls into the interesting, tasty and easy to drink...pretty much making all the checks on an amber ale...neither shocking nor awe inspiring, sometimes just what you want.

From a bottle. This had a dark orange and gold body with a thick very light tan colored head. The aroma was earthy and dusty with hints of apples and toffee. The taste had some notes of dried orange peels and a little bit of apple. There was also a hitn of oak in the finish. A nice and drinkable amber.
