Commercial Description:
The Rocky Mountain Goat is no ordinary goat. Just like Odell Red is no ordinary red. We took the American-style red to a whole new level by adding a variety of aggressive American hops—giving this ale a distinctive fresh hop aroma and flavor. We think you’ll agree this red has some serious kick. Available February – May of ’09 6.5% Alcohol By Volume

Bottle. Pours a red brown with a large, foamy tan head that slowly fades. Taste is of caramel, fruit, malt, hops and grass. Slightly bitter. A little thin and kind of oily. Rather sweet. Similar aroma. Easy to drink. Pretty good and rather enjoyable, but a little overpriced in my area.

Bottle. Moderate malt note of toasted, heavy pine and resin for the hops, light soap for the yeast, and pepper and cherry in the background. Head is creamy with larger bubbles, off-white, with excellent lacing and is mostly lasting. Color is sparkling clear dark copper. Flavor is slightly sweet and moderately acidic to start, and finishes lightly acidic and moderately bitter. Palate is light to medium, watery yet a little slick, has a lively carbonation and finishes dry. Great aromas and flavors, this is one serious Amber Ale.

Courtesy of BMan1113VR. Clear amber with a white head. Mild grassy hop and toasted caramel aromas. Smooth medium body. Easy drinking floral and pine hop flavors on a sweet caramel malt base brew.

Pours clear scarlet, with a medium beige head, good lacing. Aroma of grapefruit, caramel, and plum. Medium-light, velvety body, with a crisp edge. Tastes of grapefruit and caramel, with a medium-bitter citrus and grass aftertaste. Very drinkable. Not your average, mild-mannered Red, this brew is all hopped-up.
