bridge (659), Sydney, Australia Jan 15, 2008 Tastes more trashy lager than Deutsch pils. Looks mostly lifeless, with only a few bubbles supporting a very short lived head. Pathetic aroma with some metal and a touch of grain. A touch of raw bitterness and sugar sweetness, but it doesn’t last very long thankfully. Very disappointing, but not surprising given how cheap it was even in this country!!
fonefan (4333), Ulfborg, Denmark Aug 13, 2008 Bottle 50cl @ Home. Clear medium orange yellow color with a average to large, frothy, good lancing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, light bread, some caramel - toffee notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. (090608) ekstedt (1792), Göteborg, Sweden Aug 2, 2008 Bottle (50 cl) from Toom Getränkemarkt, Würzburg, Germany. Clear golden, medium soapy white head. Grainy and slightly sourish malt aroma, dry with moderate bitterness. A mediocre pils. sir_Pino (515), Zawiercie / Żywiec, Poland Jul 29, 2008 No 404

Can, 500 ml, 10P
Appearance: Pours citrusy, yellowish, shiny but with micro sediment in closure inspection, highly carbonated, head is purely white foamy to frothy, there is medium lacing, body looks light, rather in the borders of its style but in fact very bright in colour.
Aroma: Yeast, slightly alcoholic, than a bit mineral and a great load of chalk, some cardboard notes, in the background when the metalic aroma from can moves away there is gentle barley - grainy touch. Pure and clean aroma. A bit milky later on, dusty, lime and hints of fresh grapefruit.
Flavour: Crystalized honey, stale honey, dust, cardboard, chalk, bitterness on palate easy distinguishable, body is light and thin with its 10 P, mineral, highly carbonated, no aromatic hoppy nose, nothing to write about, even the bitterness on palate is not that assertive as in other Classic German Pilseners. Finish duration is short to medium.
Palate: Body is light, texture is rather wattery, carbonation on palate is high, finish feel is chalky and a bit unfresh.
omhper (10438), Stockholm, Sweden Jul 26, 2008 Canned, thanks oh6gdx! Clear pale yellow, brief head. Grassy papery nose. Dryish and light bodied. Not crisp as good pilseners are, rather mushy and un-firm. Some grassy hops tries to patch the shortcomings in malt character, but it all feels cheaply made. Finishes with some bitterness. harrisoni (5121), Ashford, Kent, England Jul 26, 2008 Bottle at Kent BF 08. Pale gold, thick white head. It’s a pretty decent lager. Good flavours, again slightly perfumed like the Monchof. Good hop bite on finish. That’s actually a decent lager, good balance, good citrus. 5% ABV bottle
