Nose is bready malt, hops, orange marmalade, and some earthy and funky hints. Tastes bready caramel malty, with hops and some peaty, earthy, funky undercurrents. Not too shabby at all. swoopjones (1897), Buffalo, New York, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 22, 2008 bottle. Pours a slightly cloudy amber orange with some floaties. Decent fluffy white head. Aroma had slight tea, sweet malts & medium hop presence. Taste was muted hops with sweet malts. Hop bitterness was faint in thebackground but I believe the bottle may have been past its prime. Very drinkable & rather tasty BlackDonald (1127), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 16, 2008 This is almost the perfect pour. Pours a hazy dark orange shade with a large perfectly crafted egg white head. Loads of hoppy fruit flavor jump from the glass, with hints of citrus and grapefruit, there is also a sweet malty component in the background as well. Not a lot of bitterness on the palate, but still has a great hop presence, with a nutty malt component that lingers long into the finish. A little piney and could use a little more body, but overall this is extremely drinkable. drewbeerme (2272), Chicago, Illinois, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 28, 2008 Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a bright orange-amber color with a large orange-white head. The aroma was spicy, fruity and piney though a bit faint. The flavor was dryish, bitter and had a moderate piney and fruity hop presence. A little harsh and not balanced very well. The finish was a bit piney. michael-pollack (2654), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 27, 2008 12oz. Bottle: Sweet aroma. Smells of hops, resin, caramel, grapefruit, and some pine. Gusher! Poured amber/orange in color with a huge, foamy, creamy, rocky, light tan head that lasted throughout. Cloudy. Lightly sparkling. Some medium-sized particles. Flavor is lightly sweet and medium bitter. Tastes of hops, caramel malts, resin, pine, and grains. Medium body. Average texture. Average carbonation. Lightly dry hop finish. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 23, 2008 Bottle pours hazy amber color with a full light colored head. Aromas hops of course, with slight orange citrus and pine. Tastes of hops, grains, and a touch of citrus. Good bitterness and slightly acidic. Probably does not live up to the hop head standards of an ideal IPA but none the less a good quality and refreshing beer. kseecs16 (874), Naperville, Illinois, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Jun 23, 2008 Bottle. Pours a cloudy dark amber with a rich creamy off-white head that laces the glass substantially. Sweet floral hops dominate the nose, but I found thise one lacking in bitterness. More of a sticky sweet flavor with some bitterness but not enought to really bite. Thick and full in the mouth.
