jstraw (750), Chicago, Illinois, USA May 12, 2008 Updated: Jul 10, 2008Orange-copper with big, foamy off-white head / Yeasty, pine, and citrus nose / Light to medium body, balanced between malts and creamy hops, with some sweetness and with a dry, slightly bitter finish / Mellow flavors of dry hops, bread, lemon and pineapple / A subdued,easy-drinking ipa. shanepardue (107), Raytown, Missouri, USA May 9, 2008 Golden amber, nice thick head, hoppy, bitter, and friuity. Your traditional IPA and done well. This flavor doesn’t back down from what it set out to be. First time drinking O’Fallon..I’ll have to look into more of their’s. kmweaver (2396), Sebastopol, California, USA May 3, 2008 12oz bottle, courtesy of my bro. Thanks, Phil! Pours a bright, clear orange-amber color; thick, off-white head with solid retention and medium-bubbled lacing. Solid dose of sweet floral and orange hops in the aroma; very floral, masking pretty much any malt character underneath; dense, juicy hops. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: lots of juicy, bitter orange and floral hops upfront; sugar and toasted grains underneath, though the hops take center stage; a tasty IPA. Medium finish: lots of breadiness and toasted malts coming through; ends dry. SpudClampDawg (1027), Jasper, Indiana, USA Apr 26, 2008 Draft at the Dubliner in St. Louis: Pours a sunny amber with a proper foamy cap. The nose is subtle, but citrusy. The hops shine in the body, which finds a nice balance between bittering and flavoring hops. Citrus, pine and wet grass throughout. A sweet caramel maltiness catches your tongue on the back end and brings this one together. Well made and very drinkable. jgb9348 (2492), Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA Apr 25, 2008 Nice hazy orange tinted amber coloured body with a dense tan head - this is exactly how an IPA should look! Aroma of strong hops, grapefruit, yeast, alcohol and the slightest hint of nuts. Medium-bodied; Mild hoppy flavour up front with a good malt backbone then showing some brighter hops near the end. Aftertaste shows a light bitterness, some apricots and a touch of yeast. Overall, a very drinkable and somewhat bittering IPA - not too much hops, but definitely enough to make this a pretty solid IPA. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Goebel Liquor in Wichita, Kansas on 24-April-2008. roder60 (1019), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 18, 2008 Pours a nice copper amber color, slightly hazy, with a nice amount of foamy white head. Aroma smells like a bowl full of recently cut open grapefruit. Grapefruit completely dominates the entire aroma. Flavor a bit week and watery, though some citrusy hops. Overall, quite drinkable. abcfan (247), New Jersey, USA Apr 12, 2008 This was a pretty decent IPA. Had a nice hoppy aroma. Poured a dark orange color with thin white head. Nice malty backbone to it, decent carbonation and smooth finish. Would drink again. LinusStick (1831), Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 4, 2008 A very middle of the road IPA. This would be a good crossover beer for the BMCs. Aroma was decent. Grassy hops mainly with a hint of citrus. Pour was a nice deep gold with a lot of small bubbles and a half finger white head. Taste was very middle of the road. The hops were there. The malt balanced everything out, but there was nothing that stood out to rise above the normal IPA. Good, not great.
