Jan 26, 2008 12 oz bottle. Poured a clear pumpkin orange color. Head was off white, tall, and reduced over a few minutes to a sticky film. Some nice lace remained at the end. Attractive aroma of grapefruit, crushed pine needles, caramel, and a hint of pineapple. Moderate hop bitterness throughout which peaked at the beginning at about 6 out of 10. The malt and hops were well balanced without one standing out over the other. I tasted mostly sprucy hops and caramel. Solid IPA.

Jan 24, 2008 Deep copper in color the nose was filled with scents of caramel, pine, grapefruit and dark chocolate. The palate has a nice roundness to it though it also lacks flavor. It has a nice soft dryness but lacks the power and depth of flavor.

Jan 23, 2008 Light to medium copper color, thin yet lasting white head. A mostly hoppy aroma. Lots of pine, grapefruit, fresh cut grass and carmelized sugars. A medium bodied IPA with a good hoppy bite and slightly bitter finish.

Jan 14, 2008 12 oz bottle pours a hazed amber body with a tall offwhite head. Excelent retention and lavish sticky lacing. Hoppy aroma of grapefruit, grassiness, and pine. Medium body, well carbonated, and an assertive hops presence stings the tongue. Hops are grassy and citrus rind in nature with a pine edge. Just a hint of caramel sweetness to smoothe the hop edge. A nice American IPA.

Jan 12, 2008 Updated: Jan 27, 2008Very nice and hoppy IPA. Piney and robust hop aroma and flavor. Nice oily fresh-cut pine wood vapors, like I’m out sawing right now....choppin’ down a forest of logs, earnin’ a living...ok that’s enough (I know). Ultra tasty. I was surprised! Over all a great beer to have in the fridge at all times! I got this in 12 oz bottle but I can only imagine how it would be fresh on tap!

Jan 10, 2008 12oz bottle. Sharp piney honey hops in the nose, with a clean and unmuddled taste. It’s straight hops and little in the way of malt, which is nice, and the hops are moderately bitter honey and pine cones, with a little faint bit of butter thrown in for kicks. Sure, it’s not the best IPA, but it’s made to style and does the job: simple, clean, hoppy.

Jan 10, 2008 12oz bottle(11/07)-An amber body with a nice two finger head. Aroma of hops, pine, and slight malt. A medium bodied mouthful with a taste of the same and a dry taste on the end. An OK IPA. Would like to try again.

Jan 1, 2008 This was a great IPA. Light copper in pour with a nice big white foamy head. The aroma is very hop filled with a bit of citrus. Semi-sweet citrus and hops in the flavor with a nice bitter bite to it.
