Commercial Description:
We dry-hop this American Style India Pale Ale with seven grains and four domestic hop varieties by adding dry whole hops to the finishing tank so the beer rests "on top" of the hops for five extra days! Malty sweetness up front with big cascade and glacier hops in the finish -- a wonderfully drinkable IPA!

12oz bottle poured dark amber and hazy with a pretty average offwhite head. Aromas of slight caramel malts and maybe a touch of pine. Served pretty cold so maybe the nose wasn’t all the way there but still seemed slight. Flavor is lots of orange, apricot, and caramel. Fairly well balanced but seemed a little over carbed. Fizzy mouthfeel takes away from the good balance that this beer seemed to contain.

12-ounce. Thanks, Theisti! Pours deep cloudy dark amber with a thick moussy white head that falls to nothing leaving no lace. Neutral nose, almost absent save for a little bit of must and sweat. Moderate body on the attack, lightly fizzy, not much flavor pushing through. Mid-palate is bigger than watery but not by too much. Harsh resin note shoots up out of nowhere for the finish. A bit disorganized and out of balance.

Mildly hazed and buffed caramel orange with a billowing tan head reaching north of two inches. Aroma is fantastic. Kiwi, mango and starfruit meet honey glazed ruby red grapefruit pulp. A hint of maple sweetening rides the sugared orangey peach cotton to the nose’s content. Flavor continues much of the same, with an orange marmalade glaze over doughy biscuits triumphing over the sweet aromatic hop precursors. Carbonation is a touch harsh and the bittering hops only amplify their dynamic effect. Orange sprigs and honey blossom pine mix and match throughout the quaff. Bran flakes are fiercely stricken by cascade hop pellets. The sweetness drops away for cascade glades. Biscuity allocations and a mineral-esque aftertaste circle down the hatch with the fading, bitter peach and mango sentiments in the end.

120z bottle. thanks jase! aroma denotes a healthy dry hopped effort from o’fallon. plenty of citric grapefruit and some onion like tones. color is an attractive copper shade with a light haze. pours with a thin off white head that quickly settles. nice start to this beer. lots of hop bite leads to a long piney sting with crisp grains rising in the middle. light touch of caramel sweetness appears briefly before being swallowed up by more pine.

A very drinkable IPA. Frothy off-white head topped a deep amber body. Nice hop aroma, pine, grapefruit. Medium body with good carbonation and nice feel in the mouth. The flavor was refreshing citrus. On the oppressively hot day it was sampled, this was a real thirst quencher. Nice beer.

Bottle received via trade with drmatt. Pours amber with a small, frothy, light brown head, somewhat diminishing, fair lacing. Aroma is average malt (caramel, meal, toasted grain), heavy hops (citrus, pine, resin), average yeast (sweat) with notes of apricot and peaches. Medium bodied, sticky texture, average carbonation and a bitter finish. Long duration, light sweetness, moderate acidity and bitterness.

Aroma of hops and grass and citrus. Pours a cloudy copper color. Looks like a Hefe, almost, and the head goes away but leaves a nice lace behind. Flavor is a lot maltier than I thought it would be (given it’s an IPA), but then on the finish is the dry hoppy flavor. Bottle seems to improve as it warms a little. Pretty good IPA.
