| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 8, 2007 Dark copper, minimal white head fades to film, decent lacing. Big pine resin and grapefruit/orange zest in aroma. Decent backbone. Flavor up front much the same as aroma, dries out through the middle. Lots of dusty biscuity malt and harsh hop character. Mouthfeel a tad thin. HopsOrDie (687), New Lenox, Illinois, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 2, 2007 Now this is how an IPA should smell. Big stinky hop smell like you have a handful of hops. Flavor is dominated by hop flavor, citrusy and earthy. A bitter backend sticks around. You can tell this is fresh. milewide (609), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 25, 2007 Rich amber color. Good tasting, but bland compared to many IPA’s. Decent balance between hops and malt. Well not that you ever would (God forbid), but you could with one of these suckers. Probably the most heavily dry-hopped beer I’ve ever had, it still maintains a polished balance on the tongue. Wonderfully smooth mouthfeel, good (not great) finish. It makes me miss St. Louis... Gabemik (46), Joplin, Missouri, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 22, 2007 Pours red with a tan head. Aroma is all hops. The taste has a surprising ammount of maltiness. The hops show at the edn of the sip. Very drinkable. hophead1031 (3), louisville, Kentucky, USA does not count | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 22, 2007 Wow. I was really impressed by this. I had no expectations whatsoever, as I have never really enjoyed the other O’Fallon beers I have had. However, this was a nice piney, resiny, citrusy IPA that, to me, exemplified the style. My only complaint is that the finish was short and the mouthfeel was a tad thin. Granted, I had this right after an Alpha King. Of course, that is also one of the reasons that I think that this beer deserves some attention. I expected it to be blown away by the AK, and I found that it had enough backbone to hold its own. Well played sirs. pintocb (509), Darsville, Georgia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 19, 2007 Bottle from tjthresh. Perfect amber IPA color. Small white head. Lots of pine in the nose. Hmmmmm......interesting. I like IPA’s and this one smells really good. Flavor is some malt with grapefruit and piney hops. My only complaint would be that it is a little thin. I like my IPA’s to be wet and sticky. Oops. Can I say wet and sticky here? Thanks Tom, I really liked this one. This would frequent my fridge. badnewsbeers (1026), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA
