Jun 24, 2009 12oz bottle. This bottle seems to have some age on it, however, judging from aroma I can tell it was probably quite the beer when fresh. Pours a murky dull orange with a frothy off-white head. Faded hop and cardboard aroma, however, a decent amount of peachiness underneath. Flavor is much the same, medium smooth caramel, peachy hops, some oxidation. Medium body with fizzy carbonation. Would love to get one fresh.

Jun 23, 2009 Thick-hazed, honey/bronze in color under a thin, whitish head. This has aged a while, but the nose still finds plenty of resiny, piney hops along with lemon, grapefruit and instant tea. Hops are a little more tame in the flavor, but all the aromatic elements can still be tasted and there is a bit of a citric/peppery bite at the end. Surprisingly creamy mouthfeel. Overall refreshing. ~~~~~~~~~~ 12 oz. bottle from Cornfield quite some time ago.

Jun 15, 2009 Updated: Jun 25, 2009Had this on tap (cask pour) at the Iron Barley in St. Louis. Delightfully creamy and rich, lots of floral hop flavor in the finish. Had this on tap elsewhere as well and it wasn’t nearly as good, but on cask at the I.B. it was an excellent beer.

Jun 11, 2009 Draught@HBF’09. Slightly cloudy amber color, white head. Huge piny hop aroma. Bitter, resiny flavor with some grapefruit. Sticky mouthfeel, fairly dry finish. Medium-full body, medium carbonation. Bit too heavy for my taste.

Jun 8, 2009 Sampled from a 12-oz bottle during Dark Lord Day ’09 at table 3. Pours a semi-hazy copper colored brew with an nice sized off-white head that slowly dissipates to a white ring. Aroma of caramel malt with grapefruit and citrus character with a touch of lemon and herbs. Taste is medium bodied, with flavors of grapefruit, citrus zest, a hint of front lawn and a touch of caramel. Finish is semi-sweet, a nice bitterness with a lingering grapefruit and grassy hop aftertaste.

May 29, 2009 Draught (Helsinki Beer Festival 2009) - Amber in colour. Soapy and hoppy aroma with peace and grapefruit. Hoppy taste with grapefruit and a pleasant bitterness. Not too overwhelming and rather nice.
