Taverner (825), San Ramon, California, USA May 20, 2009 OK IPA. Pours a cloudy copper with very thin wisps of head. The first pour aroma is almost sour - but the nose is grassy hops. Some juniper accents in there too. Another dry finishing IPA from the MW! JK54B (913), Helsinki, Finland May 18, 2009 A bottle tasted at HBF 2009. Pinet nose. Pale beige head. Pale golden yellow colour. Soft hoppy taste. Good one. mjs (1445), Helsinki, Finland May 17, 2009 (Bottle at HBF2009) Amber and clear. Small white head. Aroma of conifer forest - pine, spruce and juniper. Full boided and dry palate with medium carbonation. Pine, malts, resin, bitterness and fruitiness in taste. Malts and hops in aftertaste. Hazy amber, small tight head. Huge hoppy aroma, tons of fruit. And, by heck, they’re there in the taste too - peach and melon in abundance, but also very good malty backbone to prop up the hops. Lovely fruity finish. Very tasty and well balanced IPA. sayravai (3720), Helsinki, Finland May 15, 2009 (Draught) Hazy amber with a smallish, firm head. Lots of conifer in the aroma, with some caramely malt. Somewhat yeasty flavor with caramely malt and conifer-hoppy notes. Quite sparingly hopped for an IPA. Almost medium body, quite carbonated. Ok, but that’s not quite enough for an IPA. TBone (6675), Pori, Finland May 15, 2009 Draught@HBF2009.
Dark clear amber color, small steady off-white head. Fresh piney, grapefruity aroma. Wooah. .. fresh grapefruity, pine needles, good yeasty background.
