RIXbeer (102), USA Nov 28, 2008 First off, you can smell this when the cap flies off. Orange-amber with a lot of head, enough that I had to wait to finish pouring the beer. Ok now that the head settled and the rest was poured into the glass...The head sticks to every inch of the glass. WOW that’s some sticking!
All I can smell is hops and wait was is that smell...o yeah hops. Very smooth. ultra smooth. very light hop flavor. It’s a very easy drinking beer. Is that because the hops are so light or because this is really that good? Not sure. but I like this beer as a pale ale but not as an IPA. Light carbonation feel as the silky thick liquid slides down into my throat leaving a lingering flavor (but not an overwhelming hop flavor). Super drinkable. Enjoy 6 or 12 or 24...this is a very easy to drink beer. Only my 2nd O’Fallon beer ever. Not bad at all. jbuzz (658), South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Nov 20, 2008 Very average. Low on hop bang still a nice crisp beer. Looks better than it tastes. CaryTheDude (1113), Longmont, Colorado, USA Nov 18, 2008 Crushed with Jakebra. Some hop floral notes on the nose. Flavor follows suit. Nothing terrible, just unremarkable and boring. topherh (878), Kearney, Missouri, USA Nov 1, 2008 Pours a hazy copper color, lots of off white head. Aroma of citrus and grassy hops. Flavor is grassy hops balanced with a sweet malt bitterness. theshocker (329), Marietta, Georgia, USA Oct 6, 2008 A bit hazy, too much trub in the bottle. Not much head. Piney aroma. Flavor is maybe a little too bitter, or maybe the body is a bit too thin. It needs to go a either way. Pretty good overall though. mcmd (130), Louisville, Kentucky, USA Sep 30, 2008 Pours a thick cloudy amber with a dense/foamy off white head. Smells of grassy hops and malt. Taste is semi-sweet caramel malt with earthy and piney hops which leaves bitterness on the tongue. Very chewy dense IPA. A little raw, but tasty...much better as it warms. doubleo (1096), San Diego, California, USA Sep 14, 2008 12oz bottle. Pours dark cloudy amber with a thin white head, some lace. Smells subdued hoppy citrusy with a caramel malt background. Tastes earthy and slight grass hoppy with some malt sweetness. Lingering hop resin flavor. Medium body, vibvrantish carbonation. kmeves (1080), Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, USA Sep 11, 2008 Updated: Sep 15, 2008Pours a cloudy copper orange with a dense and frothy off-white head and some lacing. Aroma is medium sweet caramel and grapefruit and piney hops. Flavor is not as pronounced as the aroma but still bitter and a bit tannic. The beer still has a nice American IPA Hop and malt balance. Medium bodied, somewhat chewy texture. Finishes long and unfortunately tannic.
