Fantastic aroma of pine and citrus. Taste is much more subdued, but in a good way. Crisp pine notes mesh well with the biscuit and grassy malts that lay the foundation for the beer. Bitter finish. Palate was a little on the weak side. With slightly better body, this would be a better beer. dm9831 (1167), Monee, Illinois, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 16, 2008 pours a nice hazy copper with an impressive, nicely lacing off-white head. the aroma is non-agressive hops and citrus. flavor is bubbly grapefruit and hops with some, but not much bitterness. medium bodied. mildly amusing. i enjoyed this beer, but (you knew there had to be a but), it is not as good as some of the stronger ipa’s. and why did it take 5 days to make this? | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 24, 2008 Beer pours a beautiful copper color...but oddly no head at all. A faint caramel malty smell with some piney notes. The flavor was a rich huge grainy malt profile with some citrus and pine like hops. Nice thick mouthfeel. I was liking this one. gws57 (1148), Saint Charles, Illinois, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 17, 2008 Found this one bottled at Sam’s Wine in Downers Grove, Illinois. A nice copper pour with a thick white head. Pronounced piney hops in the nose. A nice balanced taste early fades into a biting hop flavor. Nice, bitter finish. All in all, a nice, solid and not overdone IPA. ericandersnavy (1139), crossroads, Texas, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 12, 2007 Pours an slightly cloudy amber orange with small suspended particles and a pillowy beige head. The aroma is of resin, pine and light citrus with a faint malt backing. The mouthfeel is medium-bodied, almost waxy, with lively carbonation and a bitter finish. The flavor follows the nose, leaning mainly toward the piny/earthy side of things. I found this to be a decent beer, but compared to the other IPAs available in the area, it falls short. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 16, 2008 This is almost the perfect pour. Pours a hazy dark orange shade with a large perfectly crafted egg white head. Loads of hoppy fruit flavor jump from the glass, with hints of citrus and grapefruit, there is also a sweet malty component in the background as well. Not a lot of bitterness on the palate, but still has a great hop presence, with a nutty malt component that lingers long into the finish. A little piney and could use a little more body, but overall this is extremely drinkable. doubleo (1121), San Diego, California, USA
