| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Sep 12, 2007 Bottled and served in a standard pint glass: Hazed copper hue with a huge fluffy head and very good lace. The aroma has notes of soapy and herbal vapours along with moderate citric and piney hops, chalky and earthy yeast esters and some caramel and biscuity malts.
The taste starts with some sharp bitterness and acidic fruity tones over grainy malts. There is a smack of resin but that leads to a chalky, medical, and astringent finish that I don’t really dig. The mouth feel is sharp and biting with heavy carbonation.
The finish of this beer (along with that soapy note on the nose) kept me from enjoying some of nice citric qualities found within. goldtwins (4084), Nesconset, New York, USA

Toasty malt with mild citrus hops mixing through. Malty caramel and toast with not much sweetness. Some citrus in the middle and a mildly bitter finish. Skyview (4063), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 8, 2009 Sampled from a 12-oz bottle during Dark Lord Day ’09 at table 3. Pours a semi-hazy copper colored brew with an nice sized off-white head that slowly dissipates to a white ring. Aroma of caramel malt with grapefruit and citrus character with a touch of lemon and herbs. Taste is medium bodied, with flavors of grapefruit, citrus zest, a hint of front lawn and a touch of caramel. Finish is semi-sweet, a nice bitterness with a lingering grapefruit and grassy hop aftertaste. Ughsmash (4056), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 11, 2007 Bottled. Poured a very slightly hazy medium orange with a tall, rocky cap of beige head and sticky lacing. The aroma first found an intriguing floral hop presence with sweet toffee... deeper caramel sugars, citrus, and pine notes emerge shortly afterward along with a bit of cookie sweetness. The flavor had sweet candied caramel and toffee with mild pine, citrus, and floral bitterness.. left a moderate-length pine and caramel finish. Medium-bodied with a creamy middle on the palate.. OK balance. Solid brew. HogTownHarry (4020), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 2, 2007 Bottle (12oz). Slightly hazy copper, average fizzy/rocky beige head. Simple but pleasant IPA aroma - light citrus juice malt, citrus/resin hops. Taste - sweeter than I thought it would be, more funk and less citrus hops, more generic bitter/light funk - pithy aftertaste. Average body, nice life to it, a little squeaky astringency, no aftertaste - pretty decent middle of the road IPA, my 4th Ofallon and none were lame - nice! jerc (3947), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

(3+) Mild, muddy aroma of resiny hops and muted citrus. Similar flavour, some nice citrus highlights get subsumed by grainy malts and muddled resiny hops. Average palate. Meh. Okay. Beautiful orange-tinged amber color. Smooth texture. Nice oily hoppiness. I loved it. sayravai (3752), Helsinki, Finland
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 15, 2009 (Draught) Hazy amber with a smallish, firm head. Lots of conifer in the aroma, with some caramely malt. Somewhat yeasty flavor with caramely malt and conifer-hoppy notes. Quite sparingly hopped for an IPA. Almost medium body, quite carbonated. Ok, but that’s not quite enough for an IPA.
