Hazy amber, small tight head. Huge hoppy aroma, tons of fruit. And, by heck, they’re there in the taste too - peach and melon in abundance, but also very good malty backbone to prop up the hops. Lovely fruity finish. Very tasty and well balanced IPA. BeerandBlues2 (3231), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA

Pours amber with a small, frothy, light brown head, somewhat diminishing, fair lacing. Aroma is average malt (caramel, meal, toasted grain), heavy hops (citrus, pine, resin), average yeast (sweat) with notes of apricot and peaches. Medium bodied, sticky texture, average carbonation and a bitter finish. Long duration, light sweetness, moderate acidity and bitterness. GeneralGao (3071), Iowa City, Iowa, USA

Head was off white, tall, and reduced over a few minutes to a sticky film. Some nice lace remained at the end. Attractive aroma of grapefruit, crushed pine needles, caramel, and a hint of pineapple. Moderate hop bitterness throughout which peaked at the beginning at about 6 out of 10. The malt and hops were well balanced without one standing out over the other. I tasted mostly sprucy hops and caramel. Solid IPA. SledgeJr (2983), Omaha, Nebraska, USA

Tony was calling this the "5 Day IPA" on this festival day. Light amber with a serious and beautiful white head. Aroma has what I’m looking for: hoppy citrus of grapefruit and pine. Even a touch of fruity flowery sweetness. The body has a medium malt palate that supports the generous hops. This won’t win any hopheads over, but it is a fine drinker all on its own. This beer pours a mostly clear copper color with a medium light beige head that has decent retention. Patchy lacing on the back half of the glass. Piney hops and mild malt in the nose. Medium body with a moderately bitter hops character, and flavors of pine and grapefruit along with a touch of malt. The finish is citrus and hops with a somewhat sweet underlying malt that lingers awhile. Above average all around. after4ever (2825), Brier, Washington, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 25, 2007 12-ounce. Thanks, Theisti! Pours deep cloudy dark amber with a thick moussy white head that falls to nothing leaving no lace. Neutral nose, almost absent save for a little bit of must and sweat. Moderate body on the attack, lightly fizzy, not much flavor pushing through. Mid-palate is bigger than watery but not by too much. Harsh resin note shoots up out of nowhere for the finish. A bit disorganized and out of balance. Ibrew2or3 (2766), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 11, 2009 Bonus bottle courtesy of Beerman6686. Pours hazy copper with tall, nearly frothy, tan head. The aroma has caramel and malt sweetness to go along with mild pine hops. The taste feels a bit thick and sweet initially. It quickly fills up with pine hop bitterness that never reaches the point of over shadowing the sweet malts. Nice malt forward brew that thins out into the finish leaving a touch of caramel and a nice layer of pine hop bitterness heading into the after taste. Suttree (2743), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA

Very fruity aroma, with some grapefruit and honey, plus a touch of caramel. A little heavy at first, then a nice dry, flinty citrusy hop bite mixed with fruity sweetness. Nice and tasty. Thanks to theisti for the trade.
