Sweetish aroma with floral and tropical fruity hops, mango and toffee. Floral, lemony and sweaty hops and biscuity malt in the flavor. Not particularly bitter. Hop character has maybe lost some of its freshness. willblake (2191), Belcamp, Maryland, USA

Dark copper-golden color with sturdy beige head of large bubbles. Unfiltered, or at least cloudy. Caramel and waffle notes blended nicely with fruity yeast and citrus hops. Background honey and floral hints. Flavor is simple up front, sweet and malty, notes of belgian waffle (belgian waffle?) and simple syrup before good resinous pop of cascade goodness. Mildly unctuous at the end, lingering citrus (grapefruit) pithiness after finish. Nice stuff that holds its own in a crowded morass of micro-brewed IPAs. Silphium (2160), Haslett, Michigan, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | May 17, 2007 Sediment-laden orange body, thin buff head. Aroma of sugared grapefruit and pine, backed by caramely malt. Bright and fresh. Falls off in the body, which is thin and piney, with grapefruit notes but little more than wispy, biscuity malts backing the hops. Dry and resiny. I can’t say this is very appealing. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Mar 27, 2007 Soapy, sweaty, musky resiny pungent hop aroma. Also salty seawater aroma. Moldy algae? Hmm, the aroma improves as my nose attunes toth is, and it becomes more citric, resiny and sweaty. Flavor is thankfully better, a strong piney resiny flavor that reminds me chinook but must be the glacier. Malt serves as a simple backdrop, lightly bread and clean. Finish is solidly bitter. Appearance copper with a light tight head with fair lacing. I’m still not in love with the aroma on this beer, but the rest of it is a decent whopper of an IPA. vyvvy (2068), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 15, 2006 Nice piney citrus hop aroma, no malts around on this. Clear dark golden boy with a decent amoutn of carbonation. Taste is very crips and very hoppy - medium bodied. There is a faint amount of dry caramel malt in the backgroup, but the dominance is the hops - a mixture of citrus and pine. Further into the beer the citrus aspect goes more into the background the malts become more apparent, but the piney hops are still the main character. This is a nice showing from a generally inconsistant brewery. I hope this is an indication of things to come. I am told they are going to be bottling this soon - hope it is sooner than later. cheapdark (2050), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA

Smell of pine and floral hops. Pour is interesting with it’s gunk on the bottom and all. Taste is like any other IPA, may even border on impy IPA territory. Rude crude and difficult to drink. Offensive finish that reminds me of green mouth coating grapefruit rinds. Hangs for quite a while. Right on style! FROTHINGSLOSH (2045), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 28, 2008 Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a bright orange-amber color with a large orange-white head. The aroma was spicy, fruity and piney though a bit faint. The flavor was dryish, bitter and had a moderate piney and fruity hop presence. A little harsh and not balanced very well. The finish was a bit piney. Indra (2041), Prairie Village, Kansas, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 22, 2007 12oz. bottle. Fairly fresh, fruity, citric and lightly floral aroma, some faint pine and grapefruit noted. Vibrant medium copper color, clear, with a fine, lasting, creamy head. Flavor is similarly hop-focused, these being clean, bright and citric with touches of spice and and some gentle, sweetly toasted malts. The Cascades really seem to come through on the finish. Palate is slick, drying and perhaps a tad thin, body is light-medium. Highly drinkable.
