| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 27, 2007 poured from a 12oz bottle into an imperial nonic pint glass; beer thanks to cardsmith
A: You can immediately tell the bottle-conditioning from the yeast sediment that trickles into the glass as you pour; fairly thin-looking ruby-red/copper/amber color, very sparkly, decent head and very minor lacing.
S: Beer smells delicious! All fresh hops and juicy citrust notes, with just a touch of bready malt for balance.
T/M: Lots of hops in this one, all over the place. Right up front, lingering on the finish, hops, hops & more hops. I detect several varieties of hops in here and one of them has got to be Cascade (got that distinct PNW bitterness to it). Nice balanced malts so the beer is more than drinkable. Creamy smooth to the feel with a sharp tangy carbonization to match the bitter hoppy finish. I’m really liking this one.
D: Yet another fantastic IPA from a tiny regional craft brewer. You’d do well to acquire this one in a trade, and get more than 1 ’cause you’ll be sad if you don’t!

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 2, 2007 Now this is how an IPA should smell. Big stinky hop smell like you have a handful of hops. Flavor is dominated by hop flavor, citrusy and earthy. A bitter backend sticks around. You can tell this is fresh. hopheaven (83), Eureka, California, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 5, 2009 Hazy golden to amber in color with a big, effervescent head that has thin lacing. Has a very fragrant, floral nose with the slightest hint of pine. Clean, earthy hop flavor is delectable as candy. The finish is fantastic! Like the sweetest grapefruit you’ve ever had, blended with honey and nutmeg. Does taste a tad soapy, however. Tentatively bittered. Exquisitely smooth and drinkable. A tasty blend of citrus and noble hops. Sir+Drinksalot (30), Iowa, USA

Nice oily fresh-cut pine wood vapors, like I’m out sawing right now....choppin’ down a forest of logs, earnin’ a living...ok that’s enough (I know). Ultra tasty. I was surprised! Over all a great beer to have in the fridge at all times! I got this in 12 oz bottle but I can only imagine how it would be fresh on tap! jstraw (758), Chicago, Illinois, USA
