Commercial Description:
We dry-hop this American Style India Pale Ale with seven grains and four domestic hop varieties by adding dry whole hops to the finishing tank so the beer rests "on top" of the hops for five extra days! Malty sweetness up front with big cascade and glacier hops in the finish -- a wonderfully drinkable IPA!

Nice hazy orange tinted amber coloured body with a dense tan head - this is exactly how an IPA should look! Aroma of strong hops, grapefruit, yeast, alcohol and the slightest hint of nuts. Medium-bodied; Mild hoppy flavour up front with a good malt backbone then showing some brighter hops near the end. Aftertaste shows a light bitterness, some apricots and a touch of yeast. Overall, a very drinkable and somewhat bittering IPA - not too much hops, but definitely enough to make this a pretty solid IPA. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Goebel Liquor in Wichita, Kansas on 24-April-2008.

12oz bottle. Sharp piney honey hops in the nose, with a clean and unmuddled taste. It’s straight hops and little in the way of malt, which is nice, and the hops are moderately bitter honey and pine cones, with a little faint bit of butter thrown in for kicks. Sure, it’s not the best IPA, but it’s made to style and does the job: simple, clean, hoppy.

12oz bottle poured dark amber and hazy with a pretty average offwhite head. Aromas of slight caramel malts and maybe a touch of pine. Served pretty cold so maybe the nose wasn’t all the way there but still seemed slight. Flavor is lots of orange, apricot, and caramel. Fairly well balanced but seemed a little over carbed. Fizzy mouthfeel takes away from the good balance that this beer seemed to contain.

OK IPA. Pours a cloudy copper with very thin wisps of head. The first pour aroma is almost sour - but the nose is grassy hops. Some juniper accents in there too. Another dry finishing IPA from the MW!

Thanks to my best buddies Cole and Jen for this one. 12oz, no date. I poured this badly (forgot it was bottle conditioned) so it was a cloudy copper orange, some floaties, and a couple bubbles for a head--roused it and got a creamy one finger off-white head.Aroma had lots of pine and grapefruit--lovely since it’s fresh--with a good caramel malt backbone. Nothing crazy strange or complex, but what’s there is solid. Flavor had much the same--grapefruit, pine, caramel malts--but the pine and grapefruit seemed quite a bit more muted than I would’ve thunk from the aroma. Not bad, by any means, but more along the lines of a flavorful APA. Again, not bad, but I’m kinda sad I didn’t get any more oomph in the flavor from the hops. Bitterness peaks around a 4 (of 10). Light almost creamy carbonation with a medium body. I would be happy drinking a few of these while camping.

Bonus bottle courtesy of Beerman6686. Pours hazy copper with tall, nearly frothy, tan head. The aroma has caramel and malt sweetness to go along with mild pine hops. The taste feels a bit thick and sweet initially. It quickly fills up with pine hop bitterness that never reaches the point of over shadowing the sweet malts. Nice malt forward brew that thins out into the finish leaving a touch of caramel and a nice layer of pine hop bitterness heading into the after taste.

12oz bottle(11/07)-An amber body with a nice two finger head. Aroma of hops, pine, and slight malt. A medium bodied mouthful with a taste of the same and a dry taste on the end. An OK IPA. Would like to try again.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a very good sized beige head with decent retention. the aroma is very citrus up front with some floral notes and sweet malt coming through as well. The flavor is very similar to the nose. It is hoppy early; bitter hops , citrus hops along with some roasted caramel malt. the malt is not enough to balance the hops. Light body and a little thin. Not bad.
