Commercial Description:
We dry-hop this American Style India Pale Ale with seven grains and four domestic hop varieties by adding dry whole hops to the finishing tank so the beer rests "on top" of the hops for five extra days! Malty sweetness up front with big cascade and glacier hops in the finish -- a wonderfully drinkable IPA!

Golden yellow, cloudy. Aroma is a little weak, the usual IPA hop nose, some caramel. Feels a little light in the body for an IPA, but has good citrusy hop bitterness, and a solid caramel background. Balanced finish. Pretty decent IPA.

Pours a golden orange/light amber color with a one finger frothy white head that quickly fades into a nice lasting ring and cap, leaving minimal lacing. Nice floral citrus hop aroma with some dank piny resionus and a subtle caramel malt backbone. Thin body, slightly watered down. Citrus hop flavor with with some pine but not as resinous as the aroma had me hoping for. Weak malt backbone that doesn’t provide much balance although it does have a slight biscuit flavor that is pretty nice. Slightly dry finish. Drinkable session beer but not something I would seek out again.

Sampled from bottle: poured a cloudy amber colour with a small off white head. Aroma is subtley floral with some wierd iron notes. Biscuity with rich roasted malts on the palate. Hop taste was there but not as full as I was hoping. Nice beer overall. But it could take a lesson from SNPA.

Copper color with a full heavy cream colored head. Even though the bubbles are larger the head does seem to be quite stable. Only hints of caramel come past the shield of grassy and lightly citric hops. Some mild hints of licorice, but the nose on this one makes me wonder that this really is... IPA, APA or perhaps an amber. Grapefruit peels and some citric jelly beans come to mind after the first sip. For some reason I feel like I am chewing on a hops root. The malt sweetness does not cover the sharp hops. I don’t catch the balance in this one.

Bottle from CaptainCougar, thanks Tom! Pours a small tan head with good retention and a fair amount of stringy lace. Clear amber, deep copper hued color. Nose is faint grainy malts, iron and citrus notes. Body is medium with an over abundance of carbonation and some astringent notes as well. Medium sweet caramel malt flavors, spicey citrus notes, grainy notes, pineapple. Finish is fairly dry, lightly fruity and somewhat astringent. Almost Amber-ish in style.

2008-08-16. Nice rich orange boy with a small beige head. (3+) Mild, muddy aroma of resiny hops and muted citrus. Similar flavour, some nice citrus highlights get subsumed by grainy malts and muddled resiny hops. Average palate. Meh. Okay. Bottle, Coles IPA Festival, Buffalo

Bottle received via trade with drmatt. Pours amber with a small, frothy, light brown head, somewhat diminishing, fair lacing. Aroma is average malt (caramel, meal, toasted grain), heavy hops (citrus, pine, resin), average yeast (sweat) with notes of apricot and peaches. Medium bodied, sticky texture, average carbonation and a bitter finish. Long duration, light sweetness, moderate acidity and bitterness.

A very drinkable IPA. Frothy off-white head topped a deep amber body. Nice hop aroma, pine, grapefruit. Medium body with good carbonation and nice feel in the mouth. The flavor was refreshing citrus. On the oppressively hot day it was sampled, this was a real thirst quencher. Nice beer.
