This flavor doesn’t back down from what it set out to be. First time drinking O’Fallon..I’ll have to look into more of their’s. ILoveNewBeer (113), Iowa City, Iowa, USA

Floral, citrus aroma. Very good tasting with earthy hops, malts. well balanced through the finish. Enjoyed two of these, the 2nd being even more enjoyable. Citrus/floral/herbal. Poured with a good head, slightly cloudy. Flavor is a bit earthy with hops that follow into a dry finish. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 24, 2007 Bottle. Body is a nice amber orange, thin white head. Aroma smells like Warrior hops, light honey, but warrior hops is money in my books. Taste is a smooth hoppiness, west coast, and pnw hops seem present. Very nice IPA, underated. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 6, 2007 12 oz. bottle, sampled at the brewery tour. Cloudy copper color. Has a deep hoppy smell and taste. Not a big smack in the face, but a deep hop bill that for once is backed up by some substantial malt character, which isn’t easy for a beer at this strength. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 9, 2007 Clear orangish-red. Extremely fine, bright white head.
Biscuit and caramel dominate over leafy, bright, earthy hops. Nice fresh baked white yeasty bread lurks underneath. Really nice IPA nose. Reminds me of NBB’s 2 Below, but on a more composed scale.
Medium in the mouth. Malt dominates initially, with biscuit in control, well-supported by some light caramelly notes. Hops kick in on the mid-palate, with a nice fresh flavor. Good bitterness on the long finish. Some mineral shows at the death adding complexity.
Lowish carbonation allows the malt to really have a run at the palate. There’s enough there to scrape clean at the finish. Very drinkable. Nice to have a local, sessionable, hoppy beer like this one. Well done, O’Fallon! BrianHagmeier (257), Coralville, Iowa, USA
