Pour is a bright orange with a fizzy white head. Aroma is a nice mix of pine hops and citrus. Flavor is rather weak and boring. No bold hops and the malts are almost non-existant. Finish is a little watery and tart. No where near an IPA in my book Maybe better on tap?
Re-rate: Much better than the first batch going into bottles. Lots of pine hop with a strong malt backbone. Finding this one at more Stl bars now which is a good sign. hayduke (1654), Eureka, California, USA

This was marked "cask" version, and maybe there is such a thing but I don’t find it here so I will put my rating on this one.
The color was hazy orange with a very nice pillow head and good lacing. Nose of caramel malts and citrus hops. Smooth and clean mouthfeel. Lots of hop bitterness in the flavors with citrus, grass, pine, and some flowers. Long biter finish. Good midwestern IPA. brianprentiss (475), Portland, Oregon, USA

Strong, pleasant hoppy aroma, floral with some herbal notes. Big but not bracing hop flavor with citrus, pine and a little green grass. Good balancing malt and bitterness. Soft palate, full body. Better than average IPA. Cletus (5057), Connecticut, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 23, 2009 Thick-hazed, honey/bronze in color under a thin, whitish head. This has aged a while, but the nose still finds plenty of resiny, piney hops along with lemon, grapefruit and instant tea. Hops are a little more tame in the flavor, but all the aromatic elements can still be tasted and there is a bit of a citric/peppery bite at the end. Surprisingly creamy mouthfeel. Overall refreshing. ~~~~~~~~~~ 12 oz. bottle from Cornfield quite some time ago.

Aroma of sweet citrus and doughy malt with a hint of toffee. Flavor is a nice hit pine and citrus bitterness with a nice malt backbone. Medium bodied with a fair bit of carbonation and a satisfying, lasting hops finish. A really good IPA. Goodgrief (1152), Middletown, Delaware, USA

A faint caramel malty smell with some piney notes. The flavor was a rich huge grainy malt profile with some citrus and pine like hops. Nice thick mouthfeel. I was liking this one.
