Pours a bright, clear orange-amber color; thick, off-white head with solid retention and medium-bubbled lacing. Solid dose of sweet floral and orange hops in the aroma; very floral, masking pretty much any malt character underneath; dense, juicy hops. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: lots of juicy, bitter orange and floral hops upfront; sugar and toasted grains underneath, though the hops take center stage; a tasty IPA. Medium finish: lots of breadiness and toasted malts coming through; ends dry. whateveralesme (22), Columbia, Missouri, USA

I’ve been wanting to try this for a while, and now it’s finally sold in 6-packs. Poured orange with interesting foam formations. Very clean taste, not overwhelming. A solid IPA from Missouri. merlin48 (519), New Tazewell, Tennessee, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 14, 2008 12 oz bottle pours a hazed amber body with a tall offwhite head. Excelent retention and lavish sticky lacing. Hoppy aroma of grapefruit, grassiness, and pine. Medium body, well carbonated, and an assertive hops presence stings the tongue. Hops are grassy and citrus rind in nature with a pine edge. Just a hint of caramel sweetness to smoothe the hop edge. A nice American IPA. AOF (282), Naperville, Illinois, USA

Lots of pine, grapefruit, fresh cut grass and carmelized sugars. A medium bodied IPA with a good hoppy bite and slightly bitter finish. HomeBrewHawk (279), De Soto, Kansas, USA

Definitely on the malty side of the spectrum. Medium bodied with decent amount of carbonation. Good amount of hop bitterness that really shows in the finish. The hops are fairly drying in the finish. This isn’t a hop blockbuster, but very drinkable. Another example of why good, fresh, local beer rocks. pepsican (885), The Student Ghetto, Iowa, USA

Easy going down, nice bitterness. I’d like to talk about it more but I’m busy drinking it. Sessionable and I’m in that kind of mood. jeffwilliams11 (310), hooterville, Michigan, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 25, 2009 12 oz bottle. Pretty pleasant on the nose, not overly strong for an ipa, but nice. Aroma notes include a fairly prominent resiny pine, flower stems, earth, some nutty caramel, and cereal grains. Pour had thinner, buttery cream head, decent retention, medium-light fullness, and a tan-orange color. The mouthfeel is overall pretty good, with a good light bit at the start that flows into a stickier finish that is not overly done. I think the flavors, cascade hops are pretty well showcased, with floral pine hops standing out very clearly, and nice backing of sweeter mild fruits and caramel. So though it really didn’t blow my mind while I drank it, it is definitely a beer I wouldn’t mind drinking all night.
